Our journey begins in the peaceful eastern countryside, where glacial hills and wooded trails lead to quiet villages and grand estates. As we walk, we’ll encounter a landscape that’s been lovingly shaped across centuries by both nature and human hands. Riverbanks lined with willows, ancient towns with cobbled lanes, and gardens that bloom with centuries of care.
Among the highlights is a visit to Keukenhof, the world-famous flower park where millions of tulips burst into extraordinary color each spring. We’ll also explore lesser-known private gardens and historic parks.
In Deventer, a charming Hanseatic town, we’ll stroll streets steeped in medieval history. Then it’s on to the wide-open beauty of Hoge Veluwe National Park, where forest paths and heathlands stretch beneath big Dutch skies. Here, we’ll discover the Kröller-Müller Museum, home to an extraordinary collection of Van Gogh paintings and a sculpture garden that blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.
One of the most elegant walks awaits along the Vecht River, where stately merchant homes and manicured estates line the canal’s edge as a living gallery of Dutch Golden Age grandeur.
